# Email

Open Admin → Settings → Emails.

Email is used for account confirmation, password resets, invitations, 2FA codes, email changes, account deletion, and billing notices.

| Driver | Use | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| SMTP | Most transactional email services | Host, port, encryption, username, password, sender name and address. |
| Mailgun | Mailgun's API | Sending domain, secret, and the regional endpoint. |
| Sendmail | The server's own mail transport | Only where the host looks after deliverability. |
| Log | Development | Writes messages to the log file instead of sending them. Never for a launch. |

Use a sender on a domain you control and set up SPF, DKIM and DMARC with your provider. The **Send test email** button sends to the administrator who is signed in.
