Spotify

The Spotify integration allows users to connect their Spotify account and display their Top Artists and a personal Anthem on their profile page.

This enhances profiles with dynamic music-based personalization.

The platform retrieves data directly from Spotify using their official Web API. Users authenticate securely via OAuth and can disconnect at any time.

To configure Spotify integration in this platform:

  1. Go to Admin > Settings > Users > Spotify and enable the Spotify integration toggle.
  2. Visit the Spotify Developer Dashboard: Spotify developer dashboard and create a new application.
  3. In your Spotify app settings, add the Redirect URI you find the admin
  4. Copy your Client ID and Client Secret from the Spotify dashboard and paste them into Admin > Settings > Users > Spotify.
  5. (Optional) Configure:
    • Maximum number of top artists displayed
    • Time ranges used for top artists (short / medium / long term)

Once configured, users can connect their Spotify account from their profile settings.
